(October 20, 2008: Brookville, NY 11545) The Holy Child Gryphons volleyball team (Rye, NY), was dropped 2-0 in Monday's non-league challenge with the host Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY)

The Crusaders (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Evangel Christian (Long Island City, NY). The enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Evangel Christian defeated Luther (Maspeth, NY), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Gryphons meet the Masters Panthers (Dobbs Ferry, NY) in a Fairchester challenge, on Monday, October 27. Holy Child will attempt to move on its 7-8 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Marymount (New York, NY).
