New York High School Volleyball - Convent of the Sacred Heart over Holy Child

(September 29, 2008: New York, NY 10128) In Monday's league contest, the Convent of the Sacred Heart Cardinals (New York, NY) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Holy Child Gryphons (Rye, NY), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Cardinals face the Taft Big Red (Watertown, CT) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 4. Convent of the Sacred Heart will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Big Red go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hotchkiss (Lakeville, CT).

The Gryphons now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to St. Luke's for a Fairchester bout on Wednesday, October 1. Holy Child will play a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to King & Low-Heywood Thomas (Stamford, CT). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.
