(January 19, 2008: Rye, NY 10580) In Saturday's league outing, the Hopkins Hilltoppers (New Haven, CT) basketball squad edged the host Rye Country Day Wildcats (Rye, NY), by a count of 40-36.

The Hilltoppers (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Smith Academy (Hatfield, MA). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 1-10 record. In their last outing, Smith Academy was tipped by Mahar Regional (Orange, MA), 72-40, in a non-league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host King & Low-Heywood Thomas for a Fairchester outing on Tuesday, January 22.
