(December 19, 2007: Rye, NY 10580) Holy Child Gryphons (Rye, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Rye Country Day Wildcats (Rye, NY), 30-19 in a non-league bout.

The Gryphons now hold a 6-0 record. They play next when they host Dalton for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 9. Holy Child will play a Tigers squad coming off a 63-43 non-league loss to Hackley (Tarrytown, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 3-1.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Masters Panthers (Dobbs Ferry, NY) in a Section 1 Private bout, on Tuesday, January 15. Rye Country Day will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
