(January 15, 2008: Rye, NY 10580) Rye Country Day Wildcats (Rye, NY) followers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team gain a win over the visiting Masters Panthers (Dobbs Ferry, NY), 35-23 in a league contest.

The Wildcats now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Hopkins for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 19. Rye Country Day will meet a Hilltoppers team coming off a 59-33 non-league loss to Easthampton/Hampshire (Easthampton, MA). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 7-5.

Coming up next, the Panthers meet the St. Luke's Crusaders (New Canaan, CT) in a Fairchester contest, on Wednesday, January 16. Masters will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Crusaders come into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 51-37 non-league loss to Holy Child (Rye, NY).
