New York High School Football - Mt. St. Michael Academy nips Fordham Prep

(September 20, 2008: Bronx, NY 10466) In Saturday's league match, the host Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers football squad scored a close 13-12 victory over the Fordham Prep Rams.

In their next game, the Mountaineers clash with the Monsignor Farrell Lions (Staten Island, NY) in a Catholic AAA match, on Saturday, September 27. Mt. St. Michael Academy will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Holy Cross (Flushing, NY).

The Rams (2-1) will now prepare for their match against St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY). The Vikings enter the Catholic AAA match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, St. Joseph-by-the-Sea held off Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, NY), 31-21, in a league match.
