New York High School Basketball - Mt. St. Michael Academy can't hold off Archbishop Stepinac

(December 22, 2007: Bronx, NY 10466) The Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the host Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers to 70 in the Crusaders league victory on Saturday.

The Crusaders now sport a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Port Chester for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 27. Archbishop Stepinac will meet a Rams team coming off a 69-62 non-league win over Byram Hills (Armonk, NY). The Rams record now stands at 4-3.

The Mountaineers (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Binghamton (Binghamton, NY). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Binghamton was nudged by Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY), 63-55, in a league contest.
