New York High School Basketball - Archbishop Stepinac trounces Xavier

(February 6, 2008: White Plains, NY 10605) The Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders (White Plains, NY) basketball crushed the visiting Xavier Knights (New York, NY), 73-51 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Crusaders (13-7) will now prepare for their test against Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY). The Gaels go into the Catholic A - North test with a 18-2 record. In their last test, Iona Prep walloped Cardinal Spellman (Bronx, NY), 57-34, in a league test.

The Knights now own a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. John's Prep for a Catholic A - South test on Friday, February 8. Xavier will clash with a Red Storm squad coming off a 69-50 league loss to Bishop Ford (Brooklyn, NY). The Red Storm record now stands at 3-5.
