GAME SUMMARY
New York High School Football - Iona Prep thwarted by Mt. St. Michael Academy

(October 21, 2006: Bronx, NY 10466) The Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers toppled the visiting Iona Prep Gaels football squad by a final score of 42-14 in Saturday's league outing.

The Mountaineers now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph-by-the-Sea for a Catholic AAA outing on Saturday, October 28. Mt. St. Michael Academy will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 34-13 league win over Holy Cross (Flushing, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, Iona Prep moves to 3-4 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to Monsignor Farrell (Staten Island, NY) to confront the Lions in a Catholic AAA outing on Saturday, October 28. The Lions go into the outing with a record of 1-6. Monsignor Farrell lost 32-16 in their recent league outing against St. Anthony's (Melville, NY)
