(September 28, 2008: New Rochelle, NY 10804) The Iona Prep Gaels football squad scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Holy Cross Knights to 35 in the Gaels non-league victory on Sunday.

The Gaels now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Xaverian for a Catholic AAA battle on Saturday, October 4. Iona Prep will play a Clippers squad coming off a 38-14 league loss to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY). The Clippers record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Knights play the St. Francis Prep Terriers (Fresh Meadows, NY) in a Catholic AA-A battle, on Saturday, October 4. Holy Cross will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Terriers enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 26-16 non-league win over Holy Trinity (Hicksville, NY).
