New York High School Football - Cardinal Spellman succumbs to Fordham Prep

(October 15, 2006: Bronx, NY 10458) Fordham Prep Rams (Bronx, NY) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Sunday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Cardinal Spellman Falcons (Bronx, NY), 20-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Francis Prep for a Catholic AA challenge on Sunday, October 22. Fordham Prep will clash with a Terriers squad coming off a 15-8 league win over St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY). The Terriers record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Cardinal Spellman moves to 2-4 on the campaign. The Falcons host Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY) to clash with the Firebirds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 21. The Firebirds go into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Kellenberg Memorial won 42-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Moore Catholic (Staten Island, NY)
