New York High School Football - Xaverian held off by Fordham Prep

(September 23, 2006: Bronx, NY 10458) The Fordham Prep Rams held off the visiting Xaverian Clippers football squad by a final score of 39-36 in Saturday's league outing.

The Rams now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Stepinac for a Catholic AA outing on Saturday, September 30. Fordham Prep will confront a Crusaders squad coming off a 14-12 league loss to St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Xaverian moves to 1-2 on the campaign. The Clippers host Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY) to confront the Firebirds in a Catholic AA outing on Saturday, September 30. The Firebirds go into the outing with a record of 2-1. Kellenberg Memorial won 7-0 in their recent league outing against Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, NY)
