New York High School Football - Iona Prep defeats Archbishop Stepinac

(September 7, 2007: New Rochelle, NY 10804) In Friday's non-league match, the host Iona Prep Gaels football squad scored a good 20-6 victory over the Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders.

In their next game, the Gaels clash with the St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) in a Catholic AAA match, on Friday, September 14. Iona Prep will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Friars enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 39-0 non-league win over St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Kenmore, NY).

The Crusaders (0-1) will now prepare for their match against St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY). The Golden Eagles enter the Catholic AA match with a 0-0 record.
