New York High School Football - Iona Prep drops to Holy Trinity

(September 30, 2006: New Rochelle, NY 10804) The Iona Prep Gaels football squad (New Rochelle, NY), was outscored 31-14 in Saturday's league test with the visiting Holy Trinity Titans (Hicksville, NY)

With the triumph, Holy Trinity upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Titans travel to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY) to battle the Friars in a Catholic AAA test on Friday, October 6. The Friars go into the test with a record of 4-0. St. Anthony's won 36-35 in their recent league test against St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY)

Next, the Gaels battle the Holy Cross Knights (Flushing, NY) in a Catholic AAA test, on Saturday, October 7. Iona Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 1-3 record after their 14-0 league loss to Mt. St. Michael Academy (Bronx, NY).
