New York High School Basketball - Blessed Sacrament St. Gabriel holds off Monsignor Scanlan

(February 3, 2008: New Rochelle, NY 10801) Blessed Sacrament St. Gabriel Cardinals (New Rochelle, NY) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders (Bronx, NY), 60-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Blessed Sacrament St. Gabriel upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Cathedral Prep (Elmhurst, NY) to play the Crusaders in a Catholic B bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Crusaders play the Regis Raiders (New York, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 5. Monsignor Scanlan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 69-61 non-league win over LaSalle Academy (New York, NY).
