(January 12, 2008: Woodmere, NY 11598) The Woodmere Academy basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Blessed Sacrament St. Gabriel Cardinals to 60 in the non-league triumph on Saturday.

The now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Evangel Christian for a PSAL Area Freelance contest on Thursday, January 17. Woodmere Academy will confront a team coming off a 67-58 non-league win over Garden (Jackson Heights, NY). The record now stands at 7-2.

The Cardinals (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Agnes (New York, NY). The Stags enter the Catholic B contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, St. Agnes was nudged by Regis (New York, NY), 48-46, in a non-league contest.
