New York High School Basketball - Woodlands nipped by Yonkers

(February 7, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10705) In Thursday's league match, the host Yonkers Bulldogs basketball team scored a tight 60-57 triumph over the Woodlands Falcons.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Nyack Indians (Upper Nyack, NY) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, February 13. Yonkers will attempt to move on its 10-10 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 9-11 record after their 80-54 league loss to Port Chester (Port Chester, NY).

With the defeat, Woodlands moves to 4-13 on the year. The Falcons host Rye (Rye, NY) to face the Garnets in a Section 1 III - B match on Friday, February 8. The Garnets enter the match with a record of 9-10. Rye lost 49-42 in their recent league match against Pelham Memorial (Pelham, NY)
