New York High School Basketball - Irvington thwarts Leake-Watts

(February 11, 2008: Irvington, NY 10533) The Irvington Bulldogs (Irvington, NY) basketball felled the visiting Leake-Watts Lions (Yonkers, NY), 69-55 in Monday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Dobbs Ferry (Dobbs Ferry, NY). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 16-5 record. In their last test, Dobbs Ferry defeated Pawling (Pawling, NY), 58-32, in a non-league test.

The Lions now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they host Valhalla for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 20. Leake-Watts will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 65-50 league win over Rye Neck (Mamaroneck, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 8-12.
