New York High School Volleyball - Carmel over Gorton

(September 22, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10703) The Carmel Rams (Carmel, NY) volleyball overcame the host Gorton Wolves (Yonkers, NY), 3-0 in Monday's non-league outing.

With the win, Carmel upgrades its record to 1-6 on the year. The Rams host Panas (Cortlandt Manor, NY) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 23. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Panas lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Mahopac (Mahopac, NY)

The Wolves now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Saunders Trades & Tech for a Section 1 Class AA - League D bout on Wednesday, September 24. Gorton will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Mahopac (Mahopac, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-4.
