New York High School Basketball - Pelham Memorial edges Yonkers

(February 5, 2008: Pelham, NY 10803) The Pelham Memorial Pelicans (Pelham, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Yonkers Bulldogs (Yonkers, NY), 69-62 in Tuesday's league test.

The Pelicans (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Rye (Rye, NY). The Garnets go into the Section 1 III - B test with a 9-9 record. In their last test, Rye got by Sacred Heart (Yonkers, NY), 61-41, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Woodlands for a Section 1 III - B test on Thursday, February 7. Yonkers will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 54-48 league win over Edgemont (Scarsdale, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 4-12.
