New York High School Basketball - Greeley tipped by Jay

(February 6, 2008: Cross River, NY 10536) The Jay Indians basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Greeley Quakers to 51 in the Indians league triumph on Wednesday.

The Indians now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somers for a Section 1 II - Central contest on Friday, February 8. Jay will confront a Tuskers team coming off a 43-37 league loss to Brewster (Brewster, NY). The Tuskers record now stands at 8-11.

The Quakers (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY). The Hornets enter the Section 1 II - Central contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Lakeland nudged Panas (Cortlandt Manor, NY), 51-40, in a non-league contest.
