GAME SUMMARY
New York High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon thwarts Long Island Lutheran

(February 2, 2008: Mt. Vernon, NY 10552) The Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) basketball felled the visiting Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY), 81-71 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Knights (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Scarsdale (Scarsdale, NY). The Raiders go into the Section 1 I - A test with a 15-4 record. In their last test, Scarsdale went down by New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY), 60-58, in a league test.

The Crusaders now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Francis Prep for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 5. Long Island Lutheran will clash with a Terriers squad coming off a 63-34 league loss to Holy Cross (Flushing, NY). The Terriers record now stands at 0-10.
