New York High School Basketball - Gorton nudges Clarkstown South

(February 5, 2008: West Nyack, NY 10994) Gorton Wolves (Yonkers, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Clarkstown South Vikings (West Nyack, NY), 45-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gorton upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Wolves host Roosevelt (Yonkers, NY) to encounter the Indians in a Section 1 I - D bout on Friday, February 8. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Roosevelt won 83-54 in their recent league bout against Saunders Trades & Tech (Yonkers, NY)

Next up, the Vikings encounter the Suffern Mounties (Suffern, NY) in a Section 1 I - B bout, on Wednesday, February 6. Clarkstown South will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Mounties go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 63-52 league win over Clarkstown North (New City, NY).
