New York High School Basketball - Irvington fells Yonkers

(December 18, 2007: Yonkers, NY 10705) Irvington Bulldogs (Irvington, NY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Yonkers Bulldogs (Yonkers, NY), 80-70 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Irvington upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Hastings (Hastings on Hudson, NY) to play the Yellow Jackets in a Section 1 III - C bout on Friday, January 4. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a record of 7-1. Hastings won 59-48 in their recent non-league bout against Haldane (Cold Spring, NY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Ardsley Panthers (Ardsley, NY) in a Section 1 III - B bout, on Friday, December 21. Yonkers will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 70-47 non-league loss to Pearl River (Pearl River, NY).
