New York High School Football - Harrison can't hold off Rye

(October 14, 2006: Rye, NY 10580) Rye Garnets (Rye, NY) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they observed their football squad get by the visiting Harrison Huskies (Harrison, NY), 19-18 in a non-league challenge.

The Garnets now hold a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Ardsley for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 20. Rye will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 13-0 league win over Pearl River (Pearl River, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 4-2.

With the defeat, Harrison moves to 5-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Nyack (Upper Nyack, NY) to clash with the Indians in a Section 1 A - League B challenge on Saturday, October 21. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Nyack won 35-6 in their recent league challenge against Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY)
