New York High School Basketball - Eastchester topped by Pelham Memorial

(January 4, 2008: Eastchester, NY 10709) The Pelham Memorial Pelicans basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Eastchester Eagles to 45 in the Pelicans league victory on Friday.

The Pelicans now sport a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Ardsley for a Section 1 III - B contest on Tuesday, January 8. Pelham Memorial will meet a Panthers team coming off a 64-49 league win over Woodlands (Hartsdale, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.

The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Yonkers (Yonkers, NY). The Bulldogs come into the Section 1 III - B contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Yonkers beat Nanuet (Nanuet, NY), 61-57, in a non-league contest.
