New York High School Basketball - Tappan Zee edges Peekskill

(February 7, 2008: Peekskill, NY 10566) The Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY) basketball nipped the host Peekskill Red Devils (Peekskill, NY), 62-58 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Dutchmen (14-5) will now prepare for their test against Spring Valley (Spring Valley, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 1 II - South test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Spring Valley got by Harrison (Harrison, NY), 65-30, in a league test.

The Red Devils now own a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they host Beacon for a Section 1 II - North test on Friday, February 8. Peekskill will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 57-36 league win over Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-2.
