New York High School Basketball - Magnus nudges Irvington

(February 5, 2008: Irvington, NY 10533) In Tuesday's league outing, the Magnus Falcons (Bardonia, NY) basketball squad edged the host Irvington Bulldogs (Irvington, NY), by a margin of 36-34.

The Falcons (17-1) will now prepare for their outing against Sleepy Hollow (Sleepy Hollow, NY). The Horsemen go into the Section 1 III - C outing with a 6-13 record. In their last outing, Sleepy Hollow was tipped by Nanuet (Nanuet, NY), 51-38, in a league outing.

The Bulldogs now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pearl River for a Section 1 III - C outing on Thursday, February 7. Irvington will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 69-47 league win over Hastings (Hastings on Hudson, NY). The Pirates record now stands at 10-8.
