New York High School Basketball - Beacon edges Jay

(December 15, 2007: Beacon, NY 12508) The Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Jay Patriots (Hopewell Junction, NY), 52-47 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Ossining (Ossining, NY). The go into the Section 1 II - North test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Ossining got by Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY), 63-45, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to White Plains for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 18. Jay will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 36-25 non-league win over Rye (Rye, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 4-1.
