New York High School Basketball - Yorktown nips Panas

(December 29, 2007: Yorktown Heights, NY 10598) Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Yorktown Huskers (Yorktown Heights, NY) and the visiting Panas Panthers (Cortlandt Manor, NY), saw Yorktown's basketball squad hold off Panas by a score of 56-50.

With the victory, Yorktown improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Huskers travel to Carmel (Carmel, NY) to clash with the Rams in a non-league test on Saturday, January 5. The Rams go into the test with a record of 0-6. Carmel lost 71-56 in their recent non-league test against Clarkstown North (New City, NY)

The Panthers now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peekskill for a Section 1 II - North test on Thursday, January 3. Panas will clash with a Red Devils squad coming off a 61-54 non-league win over White Plains (White Plains, NY). The Red Devils record now stands at 8-0.
