(December 20, 2007: Mt. Vernon, NY 10552) Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY) and the host Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY), saw Mason County's basketball squad hold off Mt. Vernon by a count of 73-69.

With the victory, Mason County upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Rice (New York, NY) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 21. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Rice won 72-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Iolani (Honolulu, HI)

Next up, the Knights play the Iolani Raiders (Honolulu, HI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 21. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 72-40 non-league loss to Rice (New York, NY).
