New York High School Basketball - Sleepy Hollow can't hold off Eastchester

(January 2, 2008: Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591) The Eastchester Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Sleepy Hollow Horsemen to 55 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pelham Memorial for a Section 1 III - B contest on Friday, January 4. Eastchester will meet a Pelicans team coming off a 61-33 league win over Woodlands (Hartsdale, NY). The Pelicans record now stands at 4-4.

The Horsemen (5-5) will now prepare for their bout against Pearl River (Pearl River, NY). The Pirates go into the Section 1 III - C bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Pearl River nipped Nanuet (Nanuet, NY), 67-47, in a league bout.
