New York High School Volleyball - Briarcliff over Kennedy Catholic

(October 17, 2008: Somers, NY 10589) In Friday's league contest, the Briarcliff Bears (Briarcliff Manor, NY) volleyball squad were winner over the host Kennedy Catholic Gaels (Somers, NY), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Bears face the Valhalla Vikings (Valhalla, NY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 20. Briarcliff will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 1-15 record after their 3-0 league loss to Keio (Purchase, NY).

With the loss, Kennedy Catholic moves to 3-7 on the year. The Gaels host Pleasantville (Pleasantville, NY) to face the Panthers in a Section 1 Class B - League A contest on Tuesday, October 21. The Panthers go into the contest with a record of 4-11. Pleasantville lost 3-2 in their recent non-league contest against Hastings (Hastings on Hudson, NY)
