New York High School Basketball - Dover routs Schechter

(January 9, 2008: Hartsdale, NY 10530) In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Dover Dragons (Dover Plains, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Schechter Lions (Hartsdale, NY), by a count of 51-30.

The Dragons (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Pioneers go into the non-league outing with a 4-7 record. In their last outing, Poughkeepsie was crushed by Beacon (Beacon, NY), 70-35, in a league outing.

The Lions now hold a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dobbs Ferry for a Section 1 IV - A outing on Thursday, January 10. Schechter will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 53-46 non-league win over Blind Brook (Rye Brook, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 5-7.
