(December 11, 2007: Mamaroneck, NY 10543) Rye Neck Panthers (Mamaroneck, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Hawthorne Cedar Knolls (Hawthorne, NY), 72-69 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rye Neck upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Keio (Purchase, NY) to encounter the Unicorns in a Section 1 IV - B bout on Friday, December 14. The Unicorns go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Keio won 54-43 in their recent non-league bout against Haldane (Cold Spring, NY)

Next up, the encounter the Clark Academy Knights (Greenburgh, NY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 12. Hawthorne Cedar Knolls will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 62-28 non-league loss to Dobbs Ferry (Dobbs Ferry, NY).
