New York High School Football - Woodlands drops to Westlake

(September 13, 2008: Thornwood, NY 10594) In Saturday's league game, the Westlake Wildcats (Thornwood, NY) football team knocked off the visiting Woodlands Falcons (Hartsdale, NY), by a final score of 36-6.

The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Croton-Harmon (Croton on Hudson, NY). The Tigers come into the Section 1 C/D - League A game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Croton-Harmon toppled Blind Brook (Rye Brook, NY), 40-0, in a non-league game.

The Falcons now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hastings for a Section 1 C/D - League A game on Saturday, September 20. Woodlands will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 20-6 league win over Pawling (Pawling, NY). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-1.
