New York High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon fells White Plains

(January 9, 2008: Mt. Vernon, NY 10552) The Mt. Vernon Knights basketball squad scored 58 points and restricted the visiting White Plains Tigers to 42 in the Knights league victory on Wednesday.

The Knights (9-0) will now prepare for their bout against New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY). The Huguenots come into the Section 1 I - A bout with a 8-3 record. In their last bout, New Rochelle was knocked off by Ursuline (New Rochelle, NY), 45-42, in a non-league bout.

The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their bout against Scarsdale (Scarsdale, NY). The Raiders come into the Section 1 I - A bout with a 5-3 record. In their last bout, Scarsdale notched a victory over Mamaroneck (Mamaroneck, NY), 30-22, in a league bout.
