New York High School Basketball - Lincoln edged by Gorton

(January 9, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10704) The Lincoln Lancers basketball team (Yonkers, NY), was nudged 55-48 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Gorton Wolves (Yonkers, NY)

The Wolves now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Saunders Trades & Tech for a Section 1 I - D battle on Tuesday, January 15. Gorton will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 69-48 non-league loss to Ketcham (Wappingers Falls, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-8.

The Lancers (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Roosevelt (Yonkers, NY). The Indians come into the Section 1 I - D battle with a 10-2 record. In their last battle, Roosevelt edged Clinton (Bronx, NY), 76-53, in a non-league battle.
