(September 26, 2008: Brewster, NY 10509) The Brewster Bears football team (Brewster, NY), was beaten 27-13 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Poughkeepsie Pioneers (Poughkeepsie, NY)

The Pioneers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Jay (Cross River, NY). The Indians come into the Section 1 A - North challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Jay was beaten by Greeley (Chappaqua, NY), 33-21, in a league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beacon for a Section 1 A - North challenge on Saturday, October 4. Brewster will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 20-0 non-league loss to Nyack (Upper Nyack, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
