New York High School Volleyball - Lakeland tips Panas

(October 7, 2008: Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567) Lakeland Hornets (Shrub Oak, NY) backers left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Panas Panthers (Cortlandt Manor, NY), 3-2 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Hornets battle the Greeley Quakers (Chappaqua, NY) in a Section 1 Class A - League B match, on Friday, October 10. Lakeland will attempt to better on its 11-1 season record. The Quakers come into the match with a 3-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Clarkstown South (West Nyack, NY).

With the loss, Panas drops to 9-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Putnam Valley (Putnam Valley, NY) to face the Tigers in a non-league outing on Friday, October 10. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 5-5. Putnam Valley won 3-1 in their recent league outing against Kennedy Catholic (Somers, NY)
