New York High School Football - Jay knocks off Roosevelt

(September 7, 2008: Cross River, NY 10536) The Jay Indians football team scored 36 points and limited the visiting Roosevelt Presidents to 20 in the Indians non-league win on Sunday.

With the win, Jay upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Indians travel to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY) to encounter the Warriors in a Section 1 A - North outing on Saturday, September 13. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Our Lady of Lourdes won 13-12 in their recent league outing against Beacon (Beacon, NY)

With the loss, Roosevelt moves to 0-1 on the season. The Presidents travel to Valley Central (Montgomery, NY) to encounter the Vikings in a Section 9 AA-II outing on Friday, September 12. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Valley Central lost 13-10 in their recent non-league outing against Middletown (Middletown, NY)
