New York High School Basketball - Leake-Watts edges Dobbs Ferry

(February 7, 2008: Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522) The Leake-Watts Lions (Yonkers, NY) basketball nipped the host Dobbs Ferry Eagles (Dobbs Ferry, NY), 50-48 in Thursday's league test.

The Lions (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Irvington (Irvington, NY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, Irvington got by Pearl River (Pearl River, NY), 67-55, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Pawling for a non-league test on Thursday, February 14. Dobbs Ferry will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 53-27 non-league loss to Hamilton (Elmsford, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 8-10.
