New York High School Basketball - Gorton holds off Arlington

(January 3, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10703) Gorton Wolves (Yonkers, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Arlington Admirals (LaGrangeville, NY), 50-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gorton upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Mahopac (Mahopac, NY) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 5. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Mahopac lost 76-53 in their recent non-league bout against North Salem (North Salem, NY)

Next up, the Admirals play the Mahopac Indians (Mahopac, NY) in a Section 1 I - C bout, on Wednesday, January 9. Arlington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 69-49 league win over Ketcham (Wappingers Falls, NY).
