(October 7, 2008: Putnam Valley, NY 10579) The Putnam Valley Tigers (Putnam Valley, NY) volleyball overcame the visiting Kennedy Catholic Gaels (Somers, NY), 3-1 in Tuesday's league outing.

With the win, Putnam Valley upgrades its record to 5-5 on the year. The Tigers travel to Panas (Cortlandt Manor, NY) to play the Panthers in a non-league outing on Friday, October 10. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 9-4. Panas lost 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY)

The Gaels now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Croton-Harmon for a Section 1 Class B - League A outing on Wednesday, October 15. Kennedy Catholic will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Rye (Rye, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 9-3.
