New York High School Basketball - Putnam Valley overwhelmed by Lakeland

(December 26, 2007: Putnam Valley, NY 10579) Lakeland Hornets (Shrub Oak, NY) followers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their basketball team triumph over the host Putnam Valley Tigers (Putnam Valley, NY), 58-33 in a non-league contest.

The Hornets now sport a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Somers for a Section 1 II - Central contest on Thursday, January 3. Lakeland will meet a Tuskers team coming off a 56-51 league win over Yorktown (Yorktown Heights, NY). The Tuskers record now stands at 4-4.

Coming up next, the Tigers meet the Yorktown Huskers (Yorktown Heights, NY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 27. Putnam Valley will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Huskers come into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 56-51 league loss to Somers (Lincolndale, NY).
