New York High School Basketball - Eastchester prevails Ardsley

(February 5, 2008: Ardsley, NY 10502) Eastchester Eagles (Eastchester, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ardsley Panthers (Ardsley, NY), 53-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Eastchester upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Eagles host Spring Valley (Spring Valley, NY) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 14. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Spring Valley won 81-61 in their recent league bout against Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Edgemont Panthers (Scarsdale, NY) in a Section 1 III - B bout, on Thursday, February 7. Ardsley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 54-48 league loss to Woodlands (Hartsdale, NY).
