New York High School Volleyball - Tappan Zee over Harrison

(October 10, 2008: Harrison, NY 10528) The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY) and the host Harrison Huskies (Harrison, NY), saw Tappan Zee's volleyball squad beat Harrison by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Tappan Zee upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Dutchmen travel to Magnus (Bardonia, NY) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 11. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Magnus won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Burke Catholic (Goshen, NY)

The Huskies now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Spring Valley for a Section 1 Class A - League C bout on Tuesday, October 14. Harrison will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Nyack (Upper Nyack, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 1-11.
