New York High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon routs Scarsdale

(February 6, 2008: Mt. Vernon, NY 10552) In Wednesday's league outing, the Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Scarsdale Raiders (Scarsdale, NY), by a margin of 95-59.

The Knights (15-3) will now prepare for their outing against Mamaroneck (Mamaroneck, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 1 I - A outing with a 10-9 record. In their last outing, Mamaroneck was trounced by New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY), 49-46, in a league outing.

The Raiders now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Mahopac for a non-league outing on Friday, February 15. Scarsdale will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 65-62 non-league win over Arlington (LaGrangeville, NY). The Indians record now stands at 11-9.
