(September 8, 2008: Shrub Oak, NY 10588) The Lakeland Hornets volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Peekskill Red Devils to 0 in the Hornets non-league victory on Monday.

The Hornets now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Putnam Valley for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 9. Lakeland will meet a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Woodlands (Hartsdale, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

The Red Devils (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Harrison (Harrison, NY). The Huskies enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Harrison dropped by Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY), 3-0, in a non-league game.
