(December 27, 2007: Yorktown Heights, NY 10598) In Thursday's non-league battle, the Yorktown Huskers (Yorktown Heights, NY) basketball team thwarted the visiting Putnam Valley Tigers (Putnam Valley, NY), by a score of 56-48.

The Huskers now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Peekskill for a non-league battle on Friday, January 4. Yorktown will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 71-40 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, NY). The Red Devils record now stands at 4-3.

Coming up next, the Tigers battle the Kennedy Catholic Gaels (Somers, NY) in a Section 1 III - A battle, on Friday, January 4. Putnam Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record.
